Thief trailer reveals new voice actor

The debut trailer for Square Enix's upcoming Thief reboot has leaked onto the internet. While the publisher will undoubtedly attempt to squash this leak, you can watch said video (for now).

Kojima ponders 'pilot episodes' for next-gen games

Game development costs will increase even further for the next generation of consoles, or will amongst developers who want to use all the extra horsepower to push polygons aplenty and tremendous textures. Given that so-called "AAA development" is already pretty dang expensive and risky, this may prove troublesome. Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has recently proposed one solution: releasing "pilot episodes" of games to test the waters before plunging fully into development.

Assassin's Creed 4 dev: pirates no longer 'for kids'

You and I know pirates to be cheery drunkards, perhaps made of plasticine, who plunder cursed booty and battle sea monsters. Yet, Ubisoft Montreal claims, this is all fiction. The developer has said it is "giving pirates the HBO, reality treatment" in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, suggesting that perhaps piracy wasn't all hook hands and perching parrots.
