Though $200 for the NeoGeo X is a bargain compared to how much the original console cost, it's still awfully expensive for a handheld preloaded with twenty 20-year-old games. Fortunately, it turns out it'll also be sold separately, without the bundled joystick and docking station, for only $130.
SNK's Neo Geo console played host to many much-loved games, but was far too expensive for many too own. This concern hovered over the shiny new Neo Geo X Gold handheld which was supposed to launch earlier this year, but manufacturer Tommo today revealed that it'll only cost $199.99 when it arrives in December.
The Neo-Geo portable device has been officially announced, dubbed the "Neo-Geo X" and set for release this spring.
SNK Playmore has reportedly licensed a new Neo-Geo portable device. It includes a 4.3" screen, two GB of internal storage, an SD card slot, and 20 Neo-Geo games.
