New FightSticks and FightPads are coming from Mad Catz in time for the release of Street Fighter 5.
Once upon a time, the prospect of Android microconsoles like the Ouya was so exciting that several companies pushed out their own devices. In reality, there's barely interest in even one. Perhaps sensibly, they're banding together. Mad Catz today announced that it's teaming up with Ouya to bring the Ouya library and platform to its own M.O.J.O. microconsole.
Mad Catz is also getting in on the Android microconsole business, vying for the same audience that Ouya is currently targeting.
Mad Catz's plane 'em up Damage Inc. Pacific Squadron WWII has been on the horizon for a while but flying low, as if attempting to dodge radar. Today it soared up to drop a formal announcement with clusters of screenshots and videos. Chocks away and tally ho!
Not content with merely making peripherals for others' games, Mad Catz has formed a game development studio of its own. ThunderHawk Studios will focus on flight sims, expecting to launch its first in 2012.
