We can get so attached to the characters and worlds we create in video games, missing them even when we're done with the game itself. How thoroughly splendid, then, that Paradox has created a tool to convert Crusader Kings II saves into worlds playable in the upcoming Europa Universalis IV.

Satellite Reign Kickstarter ends, hitting destructible environments stretch goal

It was looking ropey for a while, but Satellite Reign eventually blew through its £450,000 ($530k-ish) crowdfunding goal and on Sunday wrapped up its main campaign. The self-declared "spiritual successor" to Syndicate Wars hit some fine stretch goals towards the end, so it'll boast both environmental destruction and music from Syndicate series composer Russell Shaw.

Space Hulk cleansing PC and Mac on August 15

Space Hulk will launch for PC and Mac on August 15 at $29.99, developer Full Control has confirmed, then hit iPad later this year. It's a faithful adaptation of Games Workshop's miniatures game, which sends Space Marine Terminators to cleanse drifting abandoned space ships of Tyranid Genestealers.

Knights of Pen & Paper dev crowdfunding Power Rangers-y TV show sim

Knights of Pen & Paper developer Behold Studios is planning another meta-game, this time a TV sim where you make a Power Rangers-ish show, with layers of running a studio and fighting tactical battles in episodes. It's trying to crowdfund Chroma Squad, and is having a great deal of success so far.

The Sims 3 expansion hoverboards Into the Future

"How many damn expansions will The Sims 3 get anyway?" you mutter. Well, its eleventh expansion pack may answer that question, as it blasts virtual people Into the Future to a world of holo-displays, robots, and hoverboards. Be sure to check a GameStop while you're there.

Double Fine's Dropchord on Leap Motion now, iOS and Android next week

The curious gesture controller Leap Motion launched yesterday for PC and Mac, and so has Double Fine's enigmatic game for it, Dropchord. The Psychonauts developer describes it as "a music-driven score challenge game" and it certainly does appear to have sounds and colours. Dropchord will hit iOS, Android and Ouya next week too.

Games Workshop's Chainsaw Warrior coming to PC and mobile

Games Workshop may be best known for its Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 wargames, but the company has made plenty of weird and obscure board games and RPGs too. Single-player board game Chainsaw Warrior is becoming a video game thanks to Auroch Digital, giving us an hour and a hefty chainsaw to save New York from invading mutants and zombies.
