Glory to Arstrotzka!
The Games for Change Awards ceremony took place last night, and the two big winners were Gone Home and Papers, Please.
Papers, Please creator Lucas Pope says he's interested in putting the game on Vita, but hasn't decided if he wants to tackle the design challenges himself or outsource it to someone more familiar with the device.
While the premise of Papers, Please might sound a bit heavy, its minimalist approach to game design helps reduce its heavy subject matter, while also helping tell better player stories.
If office workers unwind after a day of pushing papers by playing farming or trucking simulators, what can farmers and truckers play? Border control sim Papers, Please is coming to their rescue, leaving beta and properly launching for PC and Mac on August 8. It'll cost a reasonable $9.99.
