Tale of Tales announces 'first-person exploration' Sunset

Once upon a time, The Path and Luxuria Superbia developer Tale of Tales' new games seemed so far away from mainstream gaming. Perhaps more because conceptions of games have shifted that the dev's focus has, its latest almost seems commonplace. The Belgian duo this week announced Sunset, a "first-person exploration" of a single apartment against a backdrop of civil war.

Satellite Reign pre-alpha gameplay looks awfully Syndicate-y

Satellite Reign was pitched as a "spiritual successor" to Syndicate Wars in its crowdfunding campaign, and by Jove, that's just what it appears to be. Developer 5 Lives Studios today released a 95-second snippet of pre-alpha gameplay from the real-time tactical cyberpunk megacorp murdersquad team and gosh, yes, it certainly does resemble Bullfrog's classic.

Shovel Knight delayed for final polish

Shovel Knight's path towards a March 31 release date has been dealt a major blow, with all the trauma of a strike to the head from some sort of blunt gardening tool.

Space Hulk DLC deploys Space Wolves forces

Space Hulk was more than a mite wonky at launch, but patching did fix up a fair few fan concerns. It still starred those boring old Blood Angels, though. A new DLC pack tackles that, adding the Space Wolves with their campy space-Viking weapons and powers. It chucks in a few icy extra missions too.

CryEngine to fully support Linux

Crytek has confirmed that the CryEngine now has "full native Linux support." A demo of the engine running on the open source OS will be presented at Game Developers Conference next week.
