Path of Exile is getting its first mini-expansion, Sacrifice of the Vaal, on March 5, in which the fallen Queen Atziri will rise from the dead and corrupt the land of Wraeclast.

Path of Exile's final version has launched with some new features, including player-created guilds and four-month challenge leagues.

Grinding Gear Games has announced that the Path of Exile open beta will be delayed to January 23, 2013, due to concerns of launching over the holidays when the studio will be out for vacation.
