Another Warhammer 40K game is in the works. Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a turn-based CCG set for PC, iOS, and Android in 2014.

Games Workshop may be best known for its Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000 wargames, but the company has made plenty of weird and obscure board games and RPGs too. Single-player board game Chainsaw Warrior is becoming a video game thanks to Auroch Digital, giving us an hour and a hefty chainsaw to save New York from invading mutants and zombies.

The announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade this week was quite confusing, both because it was light on details and because, well, it's made by the folks behind Wet and Naughty Bear. But, new details: it'll be a free-to-play PlanetSide-y PvP fight for control of planets, with a splash of AI Tyranids on the side to add extra trouble.

A MMORPG set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe has been announced at E3 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 but, er, it's probably not what you're expecting. WH40K: Eternal Crusade will see the Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks and Eldar duking it out in a "persistent online war" to control a planet, and all sounds quite PlanetSide-y. Wipe the skull fragments from your boots and sharpen your shoulder pads, as Cyanide Studio's Blood Bowl adaptation is finally getting an actual sequel rather than more fancied-up expanded editions. Publisher Focus Home carefully avoids saying anything of much consequence about Blood Bowl 2, but, er, hey, we do know that vampire-ogre commentator duo Jim & Bob will play a bigger part.

The Warhammer 40,000 universe has enjoyed some success on the PC, particularly with the Dawn of War franchise. But Roadhouse interactive now wants to bring the world of Space Marines and Orks to smartphones and tablets.

Warhammer 40,000 fans, your prayers to the Emperor (or Gork, Mork, Isha, or whichever vile daemon you heretics worship) have been answered. A turn-based strategy adaptation of Games Workshop's grimdark tabletop wargame is coming, but not from the usual source. While Relic developed and THQ published the 40K RTS series Dawn of War, this is by specialist strategy developer and publisher Slitherine.

Cyanide is working on a free-to-play version of the Games Workshop tabletop game which focuses purely on management, aiming for release on PC, Mac and tablets some time from April to June.

A new video game adaptation is in the works for PC, Mac and iOS, staying true to the classic turn-based Warhammer 40,000 board game but packing lovelies like a co-op mode and cross-platform play.

Multiple Warhammer fantasy games are in the pipeline at Total War developer The Creative Assembly, Sega announced today. The publisher has scooped the rights to Games Workshop's classic magical elves-and-ratmen tabletop wargame and set up a new team at TCA to bring them to our computers, planning for the first game to hit after 2013.
