Dreamfall Chapters coming from creator Tørnquist's new studio

Thirteen years after The Longest Journey launched and six since its sequel Dreamfall, creator Ragnar Tørnquist is returning to the sci-fi-y fantasy-y adventure series. He's formed a new studio, Red Thread Games, and licensed the rights from Funcom to make Dreamfall Chapters, but beyond that it's a bit of a mystery for now.

The Secret World to be 'more inviting' to new players, dev promises

"We're not about to change," The Secret World creative director Ragnar Tørnquist has said as developer Funcom dusts itself off and gets back to work following layoffs and a launch less successful than it'd hoped for. Funcom's plan is to make no drastic changes but simply keep releasing content updates while making the real-world-ish supernatural RPG friendlier to new players.

Funcom has detailed The Secret World's Issue #1 update, the first in a monthly series of new content drops. It brings new missions, Nightmare mode for more dungeons, and an auction house.
