Fuse demo launches May 7

Considering Fuse is the first multiplatform release from Ratchet & Clank creator Insomniac Games, one might expect a little more buzz (that's an industry term) around the shooter. Perhaps we're a little tired of third-person cover-based shooters. But gamebees (likewise) can often be attracted with demoflowers, so publisher EA plans to plant a few (release a demo) next Tuesday.

Rayman Legends full online challenge mode coming as 'second demo'

When Ubisoft announced it was delaying the nearly-finished Wii U edition of Rayman Legends so it could launch alongside Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, it discovered fans--and even developers--weren't wholly satisfied with that. Quelle suprise! It hastily promised a second demo on Wii U, and has now revealed that'll actually be the full online challenge mode.

Omerta - City of Gangsters PC demo released

With Tropico 4 developer Haemimont's gangster strategy game Omerta - City of Gangsters arriving on PC next week, publisher Kalypso has released a demo offering a taste of mobster life. Omerta is more action-oriented than Tropico, with turn-based tactical combat, so grab the 793MB download here at Shacknews and see how it shapes up.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted demo hits consoles

Nyooooom! That's not the sound of a Need for Speed Most Wanted demo hitting Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, because downloads don't make noises beyond the very faint buzzing of electrons inaudible. If you didn't pounce upon Runic's delightful action-RPG Torchlight II when it launched for PC yesterday, perhaps a demo might pique your interest.
