CCP's World of Darkness MMO canceled

Today, CCP has announced that it has canceled World of Darkness, and will be cutting 56 jobs from its Atlanta studio. "The decision to end the World of Darkness MMO project is one of the hardest I've ever had to make," CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson said in a statement.

EVE Online: Rubicon cinematic trailer heralds new expansion

With EVE Online's twentieth free expansion due to warp in next Tuesday, developer CCP has launched a lovely new cinematic trailer to celebrate. The 'Rubicon' expansion brings oodles of newness for both PvE and PvP, from new deployable structures to booby-trapped Ghost Sites hiding forbidden knowledge.

EVE: Valkyrie coming for Oculus Rift

EVE Online developer CCP showed off a prototype multiplayer space-dogfighting game for Oculus Rift in April, but at the time shrugged, "God knows what we'll do with this." Thankfully the answer is the one we'd all hoped for: it's becoming a full standalone game, as EVE: Valkyrie.
