A contractual dispute with "a publishing partner" has forced Beamdog to pull Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition from its store and Steam, also leaving in doubt the future of the upcoming sequel of Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced.
Things have been awfully quiet from Beamdog after the release of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. We know they are working on DLC for the game, and also a Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced, so we contacted them to find out just what was going on in the land of Faerun.
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is launching for Mac OSX this Friday, February 22. It will be available directly through Beamdog at first, and will come to the Mac App Store sometime later.
Fans seeking to try the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition were a bit miffed when the game originally launched only through publisher Beamdog and not on Steam. Well, the fans got their wish, but the version apparently isn't up to par with the current game.
