Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will offer some shiny new graphics to the original PS2/PSP games and a new trailer shows an active comparison between the newer HD and older SD versions.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is set to arrive this year, as promised, setting a December 2 release date. The trailer also reveals that Kingdom Hearts III is "Now in Development," reminding us that Square Enix is utterly, utterly cruel.
A new trailer from Japan's Jump Festa shows off how the HD remix is faring. Unsurprisingly, it looks much like the 1.5 collection, with puffy pants and giant zippers never looking better.
The Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix Limited Edition is surprisingly nice.
The story that started in the first Kingdom Hearts on PS2 in 2002 will be coming to something of an end, Nomura explained. "In Kingdom Hearts 3, the battles that the characters have been fighting for the past 10 years will come to a conclusion," he promised.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura says it would be "great" to add Star Wars into Kingdom Hearts 3, but notes that he's not sure what will happen due to Disney's restrictions on the property.
Nomura warns Kingdom Hearts fans that "looking at the current development status, I think we may have announced it a little too early." Time to wait for PlayStation 5, perhaps?
Kingdom Hearts 3 will also be coming to Xbox One, in addition to PlayStation 4.
Kingdom Hearts 3 has finally been revealed. And it's coming to PlayStation 4.
