Metro: Last Light now out on Linux

Decades of relentless overenthusiasm from Linux fans about this year really being "the year of the Linux desktop" means I struggle to even joke about that by now, but Valve bringing Steam to Linux certainly has spurred interest in the operating system. Metro: Last Light is now on Linux too, and developer 4A Games vows it'll work just fine with SteamOS and the Steam controller too.

Metro: Last Light Developer DLC torching spiders next week

"Spiders? Sod that," you may have muttered reading about Metro: Last Light's third DLC release, the Developer Pack. But wait! Its new mission The Spider's Nest also gives you a shiny flamethrower to torch the horrors, revealed in screenshots accompanying an announcement that the DLC arrives on September 17. Deep Silver has explained exactly what DLC's Test Level is, too.

Metro: Last Light coming to Mac and Linux

One of the prettier PC games this year is heading to Mac and Linux. The OS X version of Metro: Last Light will be available on September 10th and it'll be developed in-house by 4A.

Metro: Last Light 'Faction Pack' DLC due July 16

If you bought a DLC season pass for Metro: Last Light (but why would you buy DLC unseen?), you may wonder what happened to the 'Faction Pack' DLC that was due in June. It'll finally arrive next Tuesday, July 16, Deep Silver announced today, with three new single-player missions. The publisher dropped more details on the other packs too.
