Halo 4 for Xbox 360 is #10 in our Best of 2012.

Halo 4's Spartan Ops episodes will start back up again next week, beginning a run of five new episodes to finish out the first season.

Halo 4 franchise director Frank O'Connor has taken a postmortem-style look back at the game, concluding that 343 Industries first effort in filling the big shoes of departed developer Bungie "wasn't half bad," and helped the studio learn a few things for future iterations of the series.

Halo 4's third episode of Spartan Ops is due next week, and 343 has given a plot synopsis and new trailer of what we can expect now that the artifact has been recovered.

We knew Halo 4 was going to be popular, but according to Microsoft, sales of the game have beaten such blockbuster movies as Avengers and Harry Potter. And those sales numbers were just in the first 24 hours.

Episode 2 of Halo 4 Spartan Ops is coming out next week, and 343 has released a trailer to tease the upcoming story event.
