  I feel like the hyperinflation of points devalues them rather than rebalances them. If I wanted a bullshit padded score, I'd play a late 90s pinball table or a Takumi shmup

      On a related note, points for adding feeds seems a bit much as well?
      
      However, the whole feed idea seems fantastic.
      I wonder how they can monetize it? Even as a Mercury sub, I'd be cool with a sidebar ad if it wasn't too crazy...
      
      It feels like a great tool to increase page views and keeping eyes on the site, but ultimately the goal should be to make money - and Mercury seems like an awfully small price for the number of views they could generate....

        It looks like it is smart enough to not duplicate a feed, so whomever wants to import a bunch of feeds first has the opportunity for a bunch of points.
        
        I wonder how they plan to handle NWS feeds.

        I did the same thing - I also wasn't sure if you have to ALSO "Follow" so I did several twice (or three times?)
        
        It seems like adding a feed should automatically add it to your "Followed" list?
