Twitter, everyone's favorite social media platform, is known for making super smart decisions. Today, they are at it again with two announcements. Coming on the back of the announcement that Periscope will be shuttering, Twitter also announced that they will be reverting a recent change to the platform that was mean to incentivize quote tweets over retweets.
The increase in Quote Tweets was also offset by an overall 20% decrease in sharing through both Retweets and Quote Tweets. Considering this, we'll no longer prompt Quote Tweets from the Retweet icon. For more details: https://t.co/Were7yWdOz (3/4)

So the Quote tweets update actually backfired? Color us surprised that this company still continues to shoot themselves in the dick. Instead of actually adding requested features like editiable tweets, or blocking white supremacists, they decided to add even more ridiculous features... Like tips?
We aren't sure if they has shipped to everyone at the time of this article, and Twitter hasn't even explained how Tips work... so thanks? Maybe the Tips go to the poster? Maybe they go straight to Twitter? Who knows? One thing we know for sure is that Twitter has no fucking idea how to monetize their platform. Oh yeah, thanks for the Fleets...
