On my way to/from other picture destinations I'd driven by this a couple times. This time I wanted to stop and get pictures of the lights. It was an overcast, sometimes foggy morning, so fine for pictures like this. An easy 2 hour drive (although I saw the aftermath of 2 serious accidents) and I arrive around 6 AM.
5:57 AM, first picture of the day. It's hard to show how many lights there are. It's a lot. 3440x1440
6:00 AM. Looking across Sequim Bay at the 7 Cedars Casino. 3440x1440
6:23 AM. I walk to the other side of the highway (underpass). Every tree has hundreds of lights on it. 3440x1440
6:28 AM. Messing around with mulitple layers. 3000x2000
6:31 AM. Peek-a-boo with the casino. 3000x2000
6:35 AM. I like the foreground/background thing. 3440x1440
Merry Christmas from the creepy snowmen! 3000x2000
6:47 AM. This bush was all blue lights. Others were red, some green, some white. 3000x2000
7:06 AM. I tried to fill the frame with color. These are focused on the near and far trees. Really changes the picture.
Near: 2000x3000 Far: 2000x3000
7:26 AM. It's starting to get a little lighter outside. I do some macro type shots. 3000x2000
7:31 AM. More macro of Christmas lights. 3000x2000
7:38 AM. The sky is starting to get some light. This picture is darker than it actually was, but I kind of like the mood. 1500x1000
7:41 AM. Almost the last picture of the day, another macro. 3000x2000
That's it. On the ferry ride home Mt. Baker was looking nice, but I didn't get out for pictures. Maybe I'll go up this weekend.
