Today, IllFonic announced that pre-orders will go live for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition. The “Ecto Edition” is the Nintendo Switch version of the base game, which includes the complete game, all 4 DLCs, and of course, cross-play on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.

While the release date for the digital edition is October 19th, 2023, it's pretty safe to assume that the fourth and final DLC will release on the same day. DLC #4 will feature a new chapter in the game's story mode, and if the past DLC drops are any indication, a new map and playable Ghost.
The legendary Samhain, whom fans will recognize from the animated show 'The Real Ghostbusters,' is set to make an appearance in the game's story mode. Whether Samhain is the new playable ghost is yet to be confirmed, but luckily, we don't have to wait too long to find out. In the meantime, we have our clocks set to October 19th, 2023, to get our hands on the Nintendo Switch version and hopefully the fourth DLC content drop. You can pre-order the digital edition here. For you fans of physical media out there, a physical version of the Nintendo Switch game will be released later this year from IllFonic's physical partner, Nighthawk Interactive.
