Wanted to stay close to home today, so went down to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. It was clear out, except the fog that showed up once I got to Tacoma. Not quite the clear views of the mountain I was hoping for, but it was nice enough.
Sunrise was around 7:44 AM, and I arrived around 6. So I tried some more long exposure car trails.
6:27 AM. That's Venus on the left. 3000x2000
6:40 AM. I've walked out on the bridge some and can see the mountain. Most of these pictures will be a variant of this, with different bridge and fog. Venus above the mountain. 3000x2000
6:54 AM. It's starting to get some colors. This is the clearest picture of the mountain I got, after this it got foggier. 3000x2000
Same as above, but 100% crop. 3000x2000
6:56 AM. Here comes the fog. I made it out to the middle of the bridge, too. The walk from the east side seemed shorter. 3000x2000
6:59 AM. The fog is constantly changing. I like how the curve of the bridge is almost the same as the mountain. 3000x2000
7:08 AM. Last sighting of the mountain, the fog has gotten thicker. 2000x2000
7:15 AM. The pre-dawn colors have mostly faded, so I do some bridge details. I like how it disappears into the fog. Went with monochrome. 3000x2000
7:20 AM. Nuts and bolts. Big fog bank rolling in. 3000x2000
That's it. A few minutes later it got super foggy, so I left. I tried going 15 minutes away to Sunrise Beach Park (my kind of place) but it was fairly foggy still, so I didn't like it. Decided to go home, even though it's mostly sunny out now. Not every day has to be 14 hours.
