Warhammer enthusiasts (including myself) have been treated to an exciting revelation as the Nighthaunt faction takes center stage in the upcoming real-time strategy game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin. In a recent preview event, developers showcased the eerie and relentless Nighthaunt, who promise to bring a unique twist to the game's strategic gameplay.
One of the standout features of the Nighthaunt faction is their swarm army mechanics. Players can harness the power of these ethereal spirits to overwhelm their opponents through sheer numbers and relentless assaults. This adds a new layer of strategy for players, requiring them to master the art of coordinating large groups while exploiting the ethereal nature of the Nighthaunt units.
Although I didn’t get to play as the new faction, I did get to test my mettle against them in a new preview mission. I will say the Nighthaunt units are remarkably animated, capturing the haunting essence of these spectral warriors from the tabletop game.
