The Sam & Max Telltale series was one of the funniest series of point-and-click adventures around. Nay, one of the funniest games ever. And now they've been regathered and remasterd with newly released Sam & Max Save the World Remastered.
There are oodles of reasons to return to this fantastic point-and-click series, many of which you can find in Donovan's sparkling review. But one of the things I absolutely have to give props to is the musical numbers in the game. The mob song in Episode 3 is top notch, but nothing in the series will top this: A CIA dance number about the joys and benefits of war (absolutely a joke, know that going in).
It's stuff like this that put Telltale's take on Sam & Max over the top. The Soda Poppers, Hugh Bliss, their evil Santa Claus. There's so much to love and so many jokes to enjoy. Plus, the point-and-click aspect is engaging and actually a mind twister in some cases, but dang, when they break into song in Sam & Max, they do it with gusto.
If you haven't checked out this game before, It's a great play and a hilarious time all the way through. It's also up on Steam for PC and Nintendo Switch now.
