Feel Good, a comedy-drama series written by and starring Mae Martin has just won Best Comedy Series at the Edinburgh TV Awards. The series has garnered an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on reviews from 22 critics.
The Edinburgh TV Awards jury said about the show: "The writing is very strong, it's funny but also respected and respectful".
Without spoiling too much, this is a rom-com with addiction and toxic families thrown in for good measure. It touches on the delicate and human, the illogical and emotional. Prepare some tissues because you'll need them either from laughing too hard, or well...crying.
I watched it earlier this year and thought it was the best thing I'd seen since Fleabag.
Feel Good stars Mae Martin, a Canadian stand-up, and Charlotte Ritchie, well-known for her role as Oregon on Fresh Meat. Also watch out for Lisa Kudrow as Mae’s mother.
