It appears that Purple Tentacle still refuses to admit defeat to Bernard and his buddies, year after being defeated at the end of Day of the Tentacle. Citizens and good sumaritans have taken things into their own hands and have begun the peaceful transition of power than could ultimately lead to a new Maniac Mansion game.
"Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail!" said Purple Tentacle in a last pathetic public statement that danced around the topic of concession.
Sounds like it wasn't this tentacle's day...
