Today on the official Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Twitter & Facebook accounts, we got a first look at the next DLC to be featured in the asymmetrical game. The Extreme Ghostbusters! In the latest social media post we see a hand holding a special piece of equipment. Fans of Ghostbusters will recognize the iconic PKE that was used in the “Extreme Ghostbusters” a cartoon that followed a new team of Ghostbusters after the 80s’ original “The Real Ghostbusters” that first debut in 1997.
This pretty much confirms that we’re getting the full range of Extreme Ghostbusters cosmetics. The PKE, Proton Pack, Particle Thrower, and Ghost trap! If IllFonic stays on point with what we received with ‘The Real Ghostbusters’ cosmetics, we’ll likely see outfits & hair styles from the show as well. It’s amazing to be a Ghostbusters fan right now.

But wait, there’s more! The tweet also teases a new map. It appears to be a courthouse. Maybe IllFonic will treat us to a throwback to a Ghostbusters 2 themed stage! The game shows no signs of slowing down and I’m stoked and grateful for all of this! What a wild trip down Ghostbusters memory lane. While no release date has been released IllFonic has promised new updates/DLC once each quarter the year, and time is just about coming up for the next round of major updates.
