If you have been watching the Stevetendo show lately, you have been following directions. Anyway, it also means that you know I have finally gotten my hands on Nintendo 64 Switch controllers to play N64 Switch Online games with. Prior I had to use the Switch Pro Controller, something that can be done, but makes gameplay so much more difficult as the layout for N64 games doesn't work that well.
Now that I've played some of the N64 Switch games with the proper controller, I'll give my brief thoughts on it. It feels like the ideal way to play these games. The buttons/controls are tight and smooth. You push a button, the character does what they're supposed to do. It also has the rumble pack built right into the controller and that feels perfect. It doesn't rumble too much or too little. However, there is one issue I have with and this is something I have with a lot of Switch controllers and that's being able to use them on the Switch Menu and actually be able to do things with it. For example, I took a screen capture by accident the other day with the N64 controller and went into the gallery to delete it. The N64 controller doesn't have an X button or a button assuming the role of an X button so I couldn't delete it. It's not an issue B/C I just used my Pro controller to do it but still.
Another issue I have is how limited these controllers are to buy. Nintendo does things like this on purpose and it shows. If I wasn't on Twitter on my phone and near my computer, I never would have seen the controllers go back onsale for like 20 mins and get them. Do better Nintendo.
Anyway some more minor thoughts.....
Stay warm as it gets colder.
I was right that the Mets would make the playoffs this year, no matter how short a stay it was. That being said, keep an eye on my NY Jets. IDK if they make the playoffs this year but soon.
Hockey seaon is on! Go Devils! and Keep watching Stevetendo!
