Some good changes. Here's a suggestion: The +1 notification that pops up should be bottom right justified and/or made to close much sooner (I think it's up for about 10 seconds). It gets in the way of reading comments as I'm scrolling down. I know it can be closed by clicking but that shouldn't be necessary.

There should be an option to turn it off. I'm going to post and tag things - I don't need fake points to do so.

I did find myself being more interactive when Cortex came online, but not just for the points. I feel like people are sharing more and I like reading about different topics and perspectives.

Sure, but did Shack Achievements really encourage you to engage with the site more?

Honestly, I feel like it should almost be a thing that tells you every time with a link to read more that explains the feature, shows you where the points are accrued, etc. then gives you the option to turn it off.

Cortex itself did more than the acheivements but i would be lying if i said it had no impact. I like the idea of it bringinf you to some info and letting you shut it off though

Agreed. I also just timed it and the notification stays up for more like 15 seconds which is kind of insane for such unimportant information.

A solution for the issues around notifications is in the works.

It should appear and then float off the top of the screen, like a cookie clicker.

Just FYI, but header dates are invisible in light mode on Cortex pages. Should be a quick CSS fix.

Everything should be invisible in light mode

If its there, it should work. It actually looks okay for articles and the front page, even if my preference is dark.

A ticket for this has been made. We are just trying to fix everything as it comes. Still plenty of bugs and fixes to come.

Some things just had to be out in the real world before we would notice them. But yeah, this could have been worse for sure.

Loving teh Cortex! I'd post more but I only use my iPhone 6 in the evening and the "CORTEX MENU" button isn't clickable for me.

If this could be fixed for people on old-ass phones like me, awesome. Thanks!
