Resident Evil 7's release is less than 24 hours away, and we can't wait for the whole world to be able to play it. Although we got a chance to experience a taste of RE7's gameplay in the demo, it didn't prepare us for just how horrifying and brutal the game was. We've put together a spoiler-free Resident Evil 7 gameplay video to help give you an idea of what to expect in Capcom's latest survival horror thriller.

As you can see in the video, Resident Evil 7 is relatively heavy on combat, but in a way that mirrors earlier titles in the series as opposed to Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6. There's a lot of careful item management you have to do to make sure you have the healing items and ammo you need when there's no other choice but to fight. We played on Normal Mode difficulty, but on the hardest setting, Madhouse Mode, the item management is even more frantic.

Although we showed a lot of combat in this sneak peek of Resident Evil's gameplay, there's plenty of the game where combat isn't centric at all. Instead, you'll be running from enemies or exploring locales for items. Since combat was the major aspect of the game that was missing from the demo we figured that was what you'd be most curious about.
