Blizzard Entertainment job listing points to unannounced first-person project
Overwatch is the only first-person game Blizzard has released, so could we be seeing an expansion or sequel?
Blizzard Entertainment is apparently working on an unannounced project it says “utilizes a robust first-person engine,” according to job listings that have popped up on its careers website.
The job listings are looking for two lead software engineers, which Blizzard is looking for candidates with experience working on first-person games.
As of now, Overwatch is the only game within Blizzard’s stable that is a first-person shooter. The listings don’t reveal if the unannounced project is related to Overwatch, such as an expansion or sequel, or if it’s a completely new game.
Blizzard Entertainment has been releasing content for Overwatch since its release, the latest of which included a new character, Sombra. Overwatch has also made the jump to other Blizzard properties, such as D.Va making her way to be a StarCraft 2 announcer and both Zarya and Tracer entering Heroes of the Storm's Nexus.
