Looks like we'll be seeing a 1.2Ghz Athlon if we are to believe the guys at iXBT Labs, who spotted a post on Silicon Investor where it's also mentioned that around the same time (October 15) a 800mhz version of the Duron should be introduced. Earlier, The Register already announced AMD was cutting prices on October 9. A 800mhz version of the Duron gives AMD a 34mhz lead over Intel, who is looking at releasing the 733 and 766mhz version of the Celeron. The two new Celerons have already popped up in Japan.
