The Division launches this week, the latest game to blur the line between single- and multiplayer. Between PC gaming and always-connected consoles, it's becoming common practice to organically integrate multiplayer elements into otherwise standard single-player experiences. That can lead to trouble, as we've already seen in Division as griefers blocked progress to otherwise standard single-player mission hubs.

This week, the Chattycast talks all about multiplayer creeping into single-player games. What are the pros and cons of this trend? What kinds of features could this eventually lead to, if developers continue to iterate on the idea? Will there someday come a point that a purely single-player experience is difficult to find?
