Star Wars Battlefront includes Speeder Bike racing, X-Wing crash course, and more
Star Wars Battlefront will offer more than just shooting at one another as we're learning the game will offer trials for Speeder Bike racing, an X-Wing crash course, and more.
We hope your reflexes are on point as Star Wars Battlefront will include Speeder Bike racing, among other activities that don’t include Rebels and Imperials shooting at one another.
According to the latest issue of PlayStation Official Magazine UK, Star Wars Battlefront will include trials that introduce the player to specific game mechanics. These trials include Speeder Bike racing, an X-Wing crash course, and a trial that teaches how to attach a tow cable to an AT-AT with a Snowspeeder. These trials can be played alone with A.I. bots, split-screen co-op and online co-op.
While we like the idea of shooting at one another across the Star Wars universe, giving players the option to partake in additional activities like these will break up the monotony of most first-person shooters. We hope DICE goes beyond offering these additional activities for tutorial purposes as we can’t think of anything better than partaking in a Speeder Bike or X-Wing racing tournament. We were recently introduced to the new Supremacy game mode, so we hope these additions wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

Teaching people how to use vehicles in side missions is a great idea. I actually thought the co-op missions in BF3 were fantastic and wished there was even more variety because the chopper mission and sniper mission challenged people to step outsider their comfort zone to learn how to use special devices in the game with teammates. The missions within BF4 just didn't have the same appeal as they just felt like achievement chasing.
