Thanks VE. Avault has the press release up saying that System Shock 2 has shipped to stores! Here's a bit of the release:

Electronic Arts has shipped System Shock 2, a 3D science fiction role-playing game that thrusts players into battle against a corrupt artificial intelligence named SHODAN. The title should begin hitting stores today and will be available nationwide by Friday at a suggested retail price of $44.95. The initial shipment will be available in a limited edition wrapping with chromium embossing. The game is set in the 22nd century on the Von Braun starship -- where something has gone terribly wrong. Players must utilize a powerful arsenal of weapons and psionic powers to defeat a seemingly endless stream of monsters and mechanical enemies. Dozens of gadgets are also available to help people upgrade weapons, research alien technology, neutralize enemies, heal wounds, invade computer systems, convert matter to energy and more.
