Samsung Galaxy Note 5 announced; releasing on August 21

Samsung has announced its Galaxy Note 5, which is yet another iteration of its popular Galaxy Note series smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen, octa-core Exynos 7420, 4GB of RAM, a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a non-removable 3,000mAh battery. It will have wireless charging support and will charge at a faster rate than other devices. It will also come with LTE CAT9 support.

The S Pen is also being included, although it's been slightly redesigned as it'll now be clickable and can now write on the display even when it's off. This can be helpful for those who need to write down a note, but don't have the time to unlock their phone. Air Command has been improved as well as you'll now be presented with a small bubble on your screen to bring up a number of handy S Pen tools.

A new cover is being introduced called the Keyboard Cover that adds a QWERTY keyboard to bottom of the Note 5. When it's attached, the screen adapts to the accessory by shrinking down. It has the three conventional navigation buttons that replace the capacative ones when you attach it to your phone The keyboard can also be attached to the rear of the device, allowing it to be transportable.

It will be available in the US on August 21 with pre-orders starting today at 3pm.
