Now that the tech demo of No One Lives Forever has been released (click here to get it from the Shack if you weren't around yesterday), some .plan updates and content regarding it have gone up. Daily Radar has a feature on the AI in the game. It's indeed nice to see how the enemies take cover, too bad you can still shoot them as they don't really hide in-between firing so you can still take them out easily. But it's certainly handled a lot different than in most games. Also, if you are finding any bugs (found a few myself) there's now a demo bug/feedback page on the official No One Lives Forever website. Monolith's Jason Hall has also made several .plan updates the past 24 hours, here's a quote regarding performance

Some problems that can be experienced may be related to running DX8 (we're still using 7x). If you have Detail Textures enabled, the walls shouldn't look blurry at all. Also, both varieties of shadows should be working just fine on a TNT2 Ultra--I'm using one in this machine and I have the same drivers you listed.

Anyone experiencing severe performance issues can try disabling sound filters (which use up a lot of CPU time) and using circular shadows or none at all. You can also experiment with other options in the Performance menus. :)
