Dying Light: Locate all Battle Journals in the Slums
A complete guide to find all 13 Battle Journals located in the Slums.
Dying Light is littered with gore, infected zombies, dangerous volatiles, and even more dangerous human beings. Along with all these the game is even more littered with collectables just waiting to quiet any 100% achiever looking to make a name for themselves in Harran. One of these such collectables are Battle Journals, left behind by a survivor, just trying to make it in the aftermath of the cities infection, and quarantine. There are plenty of places to look for these, and you're bound to get lost while searching the dangerous streets and houses waiting for you outside the Tower. Don't worry though, I've got your back.
Here are two map images of the North and South sections of the Slums, which include numbered circles with the locations of the Battle Journals.
The list below is not in the correct numerical order, as I've broken them up into the sections where you find them.
NORTH:
Journal #3: Head to the house marked on the map above and look on the table inside to find this journal.
Journal #5: You’ll find this journal laying on a mattress inside the building marked on the map.
Journal #6: Head to the area marked on the map above, but then you’ll actually need to make your way across the gap in the bridge to the cabin on the other side to find this journal.
Journal #7: Head to the marker on the map, then into the room with the trolley to find this journal along the left side.
Journal #8: Head to the road at this marker and look for a car with an open trunk compartment. The journal is inside.
Journal #9: There is an office located at the map marker. Head inside to find this journal on the table as you enter.
Journal #10: Head to the map marker above, then locate the waiting room. Once inside the waiting room look out for this journal on the bench.
SOUTH:
Journal #0: This journal can be found on the metal shelf to the left of the Quarter Master’s desk on the first floor of the Tower (It isn't marked on the map above).
Journal #1: The “first” Battle Journal can be found in the room marked “Headquarters” on the 19th floor. Head inside and locate the table with the laptop to find this journal there as well.
Journal #2: Head to the area marked on the map above and look for two big travel bags. You’ll find this journal in the corner along with the bags.
Journal #4: Climb to the top of the building marked on the map to find this Battle Journal resting atop a barrel.
Journal #11: Along the road there is a destroyed house, with a chair outside of it. You’ll find this journal sitting on the chair.
Journal #12: Head to the marker in the southwest corner of the map to find this journal sitting in a chair with a teddy bear next to it.
Journal #13: Head to the Tower and up to floor 19. Now locate room 191 and head inside. See the guy laying on the bunkbed? Move into that room and look directly to your right to see another man lying on a bed. The Battle Journal is on the nightstand right beside him.
