Destiny players getting 'Legendary Gift' soon [UPDATE]
Looks like Destiny players are in for another “legendary surprise” later this week.
Destiny hasn't always been the most forgiving game with its randomized loot system, but Bungie is looking to give players a little incentive to check their inboxes. Last night, Bungie took to Twitter to announce an upcoming gift:
A small, but Legendary token of gratitude is being prepped for delivery later this week. We'll let you know when to check the Postmaster.

The giving of gifts hasn't been terribly odd for the developers. Things like emblems and even the free Sparrow that was given to Season Pass owners are examples of ways the developers have given extras to the devoted community. It's hard to say ust what this surprise will entail, be it purely cosmetic or a nice piece of functional gear. Bungie did update with another tweet, suggesting it's functional gear and won't need to be decrypted.
Lots of Qs about the holiday gift. No Bjallarhorns. No need to decrypt, either, though we're sure some gifts will be swiftly dismantled.

UPDATE: Looks like the gifts are heading out today, according to an update on the official Bungie Twitter. Check your Postmaster to see what you've received.
Packages are being deployed by the millions throughout the day. Check your emails and the Postmaster for confirmation.

That's all I've found as well. (I preordered... what a sucker), and like you have spent far more hours than I'd care to share playing. But the Red Ghost isn't that great. Looks better than the White, sure, but I'd love for more choices. Actually personalize it all. I mean come on, all the female guardians and male guardians have the same voice actors... can't we get some kind of customization in here?
