Before there was Alien: Isolation, there was Alien Colonial Marines, which we’d all like to forget. But prior to that, we had Aliens versus Predator back in 2000, and if you never had the pleasure to experience the title for yourself, GOG has the game available for free for the next 48 hours.

As you’d expect, there’s a catch. Those interested in picking up a free copy of Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000 will need to sign up for the next stage of GOG Galaxy beta tests. You’ll need to submit your email address in order to sign up and in order to obtain your game. Once you sign up, an activation code will be sent to the email address you supplied within the next few days. Once redeemed, the game will be yours forever.

You'll have until Friday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT to sign up. Afterwards, you can probably still sign up for the GOG Galaxy beta, but don't go and expect a copy of Aliens versus Predator to miraculously show up in your inbox.
