Smash Bros for Wii U coming November 21 alongside Amiibo
Nintendo has outlined its rollout plans for Smash Bros on Wii U, along with the Amiibo and GameCube controller options.
Now that fans are getting into cross-franchise brawls with Super Smash Bros on 3DS, Nintendo has outlined its plans for the roll-out of the Wii U version.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U will launch on November 21, for $59.99. On the same day, the first wave of twelve Amiibo figures will hit for $12.99 apiece. As previously announced, the first wave will include Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby, and Marth. A second wave, coming in December, will add Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit, and Captain Falcon.
Also coming on November 21 will be a the various options for purchasing the GameCube controller hardware to use in Smash. The adapater will cost $19.99, and a Smash Bros branded GC controller will cost $29.99. As expected from a recent leak, a bundle will be available that includes the adapter, controller, and game for $99.99.
Nintendo paired this anouncement with word that Smash Bros for 3DS has reached cumulative sales of 2.8 million worldwide. For more on that release, check out our review.
