Xbox Games with Gold offers Chariot, Darksiders 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in October
Microsoft has announced it'll make Chariot available for Xbox One owners, while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Darksiders II will be free for Xbox 360 players.
October is nearly upon us, which not only means we’re one step closer to the end of the year and colder temperatures, but it also means a new slew of free games will become available on Xbox Live’s Games with Gold.
First up, Xbox One owners will be able to download the newest ID@Xbox game from Canadian developers Frima Studios, Chariot. The game is described by its developer as a “couch co-op platformer” that can either be played alone or with a friend. Players will take the role of either the Princess or her Fiance as they help maneuver the deceased king’s “coffin-on-wheels” through a total of 25 levels set across of a total of 5 underground environments. Along the way, the ghost of the dead king will offer his “valuable” input on your adventure, many of which don’t completely help.
Xbox 360 owners will be treated to a free copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 starting October 1st and ending on October 15. Darksiders II takes over on October 16 and will continue to be available for free until October 31st.
As usual, you need to be an Xbox Live Gold member in order to take advantage of the Games with Gold promotion.

I remember playing in Shack Squads where all of us had UMP45's when it was still OP just fucking up the other team. I was always throwing sensor balls ahead and it was borderline wall hacking.
Also I kicked ass in the Attack Helicopter and another shacker, I think Xevo, was an awesome gunner. We survived a long time because I'd land it away from battle for us to repair it. Also one match I bailed out and stole the other team's helo so we ended up having two attack helicopters on that one desert rush map. It was a god damn slaughter. -

That and the second are proof that DICE can make competent single player games with fun characters and story. But BF3 and BF4 haven't been able to live up to it. Probably because they went all super serious and "real". BF4 had awesome set pieces though but the story that tied them together was stupid. The first Army of Two game was the same style of fun levels but the story connecting them was pretty fun on the level of Bad Company.
