There are still more newcomers entering the world of Destiny with each passing day. Yesterday, our own Rumpo took viewers on a tour of Destiny's central Tower. Now it's time to get into the meat of the game's gear system.

Rumpo offers up a detailed explanation of Intellect, Discipline, and Strength. All of these provide in-game benefits and Rumpo breaks them all down in the video below.

  Helpful video. Somehow I had glossed over how Intellect, Discipline and Strength really did anything. Keep up the videos. I'm loving Destiny by the way.

    It's a little confusing having two different sets of three stats that are never actually explained in game.

      Well... when you hover over intellect/discipline/strength in the equipment screen, it tells exactly what they do. This video didn't really explain anything that isn't already blatantly obvious just by reading tooltips in the menu.

        The percentage effect bar is useless without further context. What does 100% effect mean? I believe 100% means 20 second cooldown but that's not mentioned anywhere.

        You also find gear that says it buffs int/disc/str but then you have weapon upgrades that buff agility by +2 and you're just like "what the fuck does that even mean? what is agility and what does +2 on it mean?" There's a lot of stuff that isn't explained very well for sure.
