Destiny day one patch brings game to version 1.0.1
A day one patch for Destiny should be expected for anyone planning on picking the game up later this evening. Be patient, Guardian.
Day one patches aren’t a completely new thing as most developers tend to find a few issues with their games that have already been sent out to manufacturing. Instead of completely delaying a game to correct these newly-discovered issues, a day one patch is a much better alternative. Destiny is just a mere hours away from release, and you should expect a day one patch to start downloading as soon as you pop your disc in or complete your digital download.
The day one patch for Destiny brings the game to version 1.0.1 and according to its PS4 version, the file weighs in at close to 300mb. Bungie released patch notes for this release, and it's quite the doozy. All classes have received tweaks, weapons, perks, vehicles, maps, PVP, destinations, vendors and a small list of techincal improvements. If you want to get the full list of patch noes, we recommend you head on over to Bungie's website.
So there you have it, future Guardians. Don’t be surprised if your ability to play Destiny is delayed slightly due to downloading this day one patch.
