Grand Theft Auto 5 coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One

Updated with subsequent platform announcements.
At Sony's E3 press conference, the company announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 would be coming to PlayStation 4 this fall. Andrew House notably didn't call it an exclusive, but did say that both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players would be able to transfer their saves to the PS4 version. A subsequent update on Rockstar's own videos page confirmed it would be coming to PC and Xbox One as well, and presumably the same kind of save transfer system would work for those systems too.

Good news! And since GFWL is dead it won't have that shit on top of the already annoying RSSC junk.
Took far longer to announce than I thought ( http://www.shacknews.com/chatty?id=30583289#item_30583289 ), and a few months longer to release than previous GTA PC ports, but I suppose you can chalk that up to three platforms instead of just the one PC port.

I'd guess they're still going for 30fps on all platforms, and with the more similar architectures this time around it shouldn't be horrible on one compared to another. They're still going to let you max all the options on PC beyond what mid-range is capable of, though. I have to wonder if they bothered with replay system and video editor on PC this time, the new consoles have recording built in. Hope they still have the custom MP3 station with radio chatter interludes.
If I had all the systems I'd still get PC for future benefits, mods, free online, and mouse control so I can actually hit something I'm shooting at while driving..

From Rockstar:
Today we're proud to announce that the critically-acclaimed and record-breaking Grand Theft Auto V is coming this fall to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.
Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.
The new generation upgrades also extend to Grand Theft Auto Online, an ever-evolving Grand Theft Auto universe. Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the Grand Theft Auto community.
All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.
Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.
Check out the new video that debuted tonight during Sony's E3 press conference above, and look for pre-order links beginning tomorrow Tuesday June 10th at rockstargames.com/V/order.-

That's always been one of the most annoying open world quirks in this series. Was deliberate for memory and performance reasons, but even when the games came to PC where that wasn't as big an issue it was never really changed. Would be great if they did something about it this time but I don't see it happening.

I just want to see them maintain a steady frame-rate regardless of what's happening on-screen, the trailer looks stunning but I'd hope that in this generation they're pushing the visuals AND maintaining steady FPS, god knows the grunt is there and it's something that so many console games are guilty of these days.
