BitBoys 'Cash Infusion'

Not sure how I missed this golden story from early last week. BitBoys, famous for the Glaze3D and claims of crazy framerates (and then retracting those claims) have scored 3.7million EUR (Newfangled currency over there) for selling 8.3% of the company. Here is a bit more and their latest claim of a release date:

Bitboys will use the capital infusion to fund the completion of a new generation 3D graphics processor and product launch. The product, which incorporates XBA (Xtreme Bandwidth Architecture) Bitboys 3D graphics processors are planned to be incorporated on graphics accelerator add-in boards for upgrading existing PC's.. [snip] The processors will be in volume production in the second half of 2001.

Steve Gibson is the cofounder of Shacknews.com. Originally known as sCary's Quakeholio back in 1996, Steve is now President of Gearbox Publishing after selling Shacknews to GameFly in 2009.
