Battlefield 4 'Handgun Shortcut Kit' available free on PC
Origin is offering a "Handgun Shortcut Kit" for Battlefield 4, unlocking 11 weapons. It seems set to be priced at $4.99, but is available for free through February 24.
EA is giving away some Battlefield 4 instant handgun unlocks for a limited time, for players of the PC version. Today through February 24, you can pick up a pack that will ordinarily cost $4.99 once the promotion is over.
The 'Handgun Shortcut Kit' on Origin includes unlocks for the M9, QSZ-92, MP443, Shorty 12G, G18, FN57, M1911, 93R, CZ-75, .44 Magnum, and Compact 45. It notably doesn't include any DLC unlocks. The listing includes a "Coming Soon" date and a suggested sale price, so presumably after the promotion is over it will release officially and go up to five bucks.

its a pistol, if you pull it out. youre gonna be within 50 yards or so of a target. (id assume very close most of the time) it will hit generally where you fire it. Ive barely been playing since november, occassionally getting on to grind my gold-level assignments, and going through and using the other pistols has made me quickly remember why the compact 45 is so much damn better. especially compared to like the 44 mag and the rex, their fire delay is so broken with the stupid netcode you basically have to lead the person youre shooting at in point blank situations.

Rather doubt it, BF4 and even Premium have sold quite well, and to be frank, its been much improved since release.

I guarantee you they sold less than they could have, and I know for sure that a lot of people will not preorder any more titles from EA. I'm baffled when I see people preordering Titanfall

No it hasn't. I reinstalled this weekend and every TDM server I joined had no sound until a map change.
That's not a minor bug, and from what I've heard it was introduced (along with other bugs) by recent patches. The game is partially fucked and everything they try to do to make it better makes it worse. -

I have bought every Battlefield game and barely looked at 4. I don't have a problem with profit but the "pay to unlock" scheme they're using is just too much to stomach.

2 nights of grinding pistol only servers is imo not fun in any way, its hordes of dudes spazzing around with their pistols in chaotic/random deathmatch. the unlock system is broken and it encourages shitty gamemodes ala pistol only and metro style meatgrinder maps which is a waste of the players time and server capacity that could go into some proper gamemodes and players learning the maps/mechanics of the game.

But to be quite honest who gives a shit about pistols or pistol unlocks? I don't even really think about the pistol when I am playing this game. Outside of the guns I don't use I have unlocked just about all of the regular guns (I never really cared about pistols or DMRs, which I have unlocked from the website)

pistol switching is pretty much a necessity if you go on a killing spree,wipe a squad etc. the g18 for example can replace you primary gun in most close quarter situations, it will mow through folks faster than they can react. other guns are viable midrange weapons. as for unlocks, the suppressor is a vital unlock that will change the way you play.
