SteamWorld Dig coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita
SteamWorld Dig is coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita later this year, Image & Form has announced.
SteamWorld Dig has already made the transition from 3DS to PC, and later this year it will drill onto two more platforms: PlayStation 4 and Vita. Swedish developer Image & Form announced the console ports today.
The announcement on the PlayStation Blog says the studio got a lot of requests for a Vita version when it first released last year, but they chose to go to Steam first to sort out the HD graphics and single-screen play. Now that the hard work is done, Image & Form is ready to bring it on to PS4 and Vita.
SteamWorld Dig was something of a cult hit on 3DS, gaining positive reviews as a small, budget-priced downloadable game. It stars Rusty, a steam-powered robot who drills down looking for gems and remnants of lost civilizations in an Old West setting.
