Battlefield 4 requires 2GB of space on Xbox 360, but 15GB is recommended
The Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 4 will require an installation, like many games as of late. While you can get by with just 2GB of space, EA recommends you have up to 15GB of free space.
The Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 4 will require an installation, like many games as of late. While you can get by with just 2GB of space, EA recommends having over 15GB of space available. If you don't have the space on your Xbox 360 HDD, it may be time to invest in a USB drive.
Like Battlefield 3, the game comes on two discs. One disc is for multiplayer, while the other is for the campaign. "The first time you start your game, regardless of which disc you use, you will be asked to perform a required installation of 2GB worth of game content to your hard drive," an EA support page details.
Each disc has additional content that can optionally be installed. The multiplayer disc has an additional 6.6GB of content, while the single-player disc has an additional 5.8GB of content. "We highly recommend performing these additional installations to make sure you have the best experience possible in Battlefield 4," the post says.
If it follows the footsteps of Battlefield 3, your game will look quite ugly without the installation. So if you're playing on Xbox 360, make sure you have enough hard drive space.
