Lost Grand Theft Auto Online characters gone for good, Rockstar confirms
Grand Theft Auto Online has fixed its character-losing bug, but Rockstar has confirmed that any characters you lost before that are gone for good.
Rockstar last week fixed the character deletion bug in Grand Theft Auto 5, after issuing a warning not to overwrite them. If you did save over your original character, though, it's time to play taps: that hoodlum is gone for good.
"For those asking about their lost characters or rank, those will not be able to be restored," Rockstar said in a follow-up comment to the stimulus announcement. "So we sincerely hope that this cash stimulus we're giving out this month will help you get back on your feet or to make your new life in Los Santos & Blaine extra sweet."
Rockstar will give $500,000 of in-game cash to each player, starting to roll out this week with an initial deposit of $250,000. The rest is due by the end of the month. If you raised that kind of money before losing your character, then wow. You are one committed thug.

I even got out of the water and went back in, and yeah instead of swimming I just walk right on the bottom and I don't need to come up for air. -
