Nosgoth revealed, F2P PvP in the Legacy of Kain universe
Square Enix confirmed in June that it was working on a free-to-play game set in the Legacy of Kain universe, but didn't have much to say about it. Today the publisher finally revealed Nosgoth as a competitive multiplayer game of humans vs. vampires, coming to PC.

Rumblings and fears had mooted that Nosgoth might be yet another unfortunate Dota clone but nope, it's just straight class-based multiplayer murder. The human team gets ranged weapons and clever tech, while vampires can climb walls and leap around to tear humans apart. Each match will include a turn at each side. Signups for closed testing are open now (via Eurogamer).
While it's yet unclear how exactly it'll be monetised, the FAQ insists that "Nosgoth is NOT 'Pay-2-Win' - One of our key goals has been to create a fair experience that doesn't penalise players who don't spend money in the game."
Developer Psyonix hasn't made many games of its own, but has contributed to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Bulletstorm, Mass Effect 3, and fair few other notable names.

WTF?..... not another F2P game, man they just destroyed/wasted a pimp IP.
I guess this is Square Enix executives idea of how to make revenue since they keep on pointing the finger at their teams making rad SP games. "Yeah lets do F2P that is where the money is at, that is what we here"
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :( -

Mayyyybeeeee.... this will be successful and they will use the scads of cash to make a game that doesn't make baby Jesus cry....
At least with the plethora or alternate time lines that exist or can exist all of this can happen without affecting the single player timeline... in fact in another timeline I bet they just announced the nexe single player timeline... damn you Mobius!!
(That said it doesn't look 'terrible'...)
