Rockstar looking to fix GTA 5 disappearing car glitch
There's currently a glitch in Grand Theft Auto V that's causing vehicles in their garages to disappear and Rockstar is quickly searching for a fix.
Rockstar is actively working to fix a glitch in Grand Theft Auto V that's resulting in some vehicles disappearing from garages or upgrades being lost. The issue occurs on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and mostly involves upgrades, mission states, and another character's personal vehicle.
"We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now," Rockstar stated on their support site (via CVG). "Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing."
This is most likely to occur if one character drives a different character's personal vehicle. Players may also encounter an issue involving vehicles saved in a safehouse garage not appearing in a different safehouse. Rockstar adds, "In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades."

The manual thing is also available on PC & Mac.

Haven't checked it out yet, but might be easier to see and use the map there compared to a tiny phone.

I haven't seen this bug yet but I have seen another glitch involving the garage. Sometimes the game will glitch out and give you a duplicate of what ever car is in the safe house garage. On launch day I thought it was weird that I put one car in and suddenly there are two in there and I can't get them out with out destroying one.

Eh not really unless the player wastes all their money. You should have plenty of cash for mods and guns by halfway through the game. You might not have enough to outright buy cars, property or tanks but combined I have about 1.5 million between people right now and I haven't done anything but story missions and investing in the market based on other missions.

From what I hear the properties are overpriced for the ROI so it's not that big of a deal. There are other perks to buying certain properties such as and I am not sure if this is truly a spoiler or not but better safe than sorry if you buy a hanger at the airport then you do not get stars when entering the runway and crashing the gate.

My understanding is that it should, theoretically, turn up at the impound after an indeterminate amount of time. My experience is that the only cars that turn up at the impound are cars I don't care about. Upgraded Vapid Bullet? Vanishes, never to be seen again. Random stolen sedan? Turns up in impound.
